Need a little oomph in the brain department? Ginkgo helps to counter cognitive function and memory decline due to aging. Also helps to support peripheral circulation.

Enhance Your Routine
  • Helps to enhance cognitive function and memory in an aging population
  • Supports peripheral circulation for better nutrient and blood delivery
  • 50:1 Extract (Ginkgo biloba)

As one of the oldest living tree species, Ginkgo Biloba has been involved in healing and medicine for thousands of years. Each fan-shaped leaf contains flavonoids and terpenoids, phytonutrients that have many health-promoting properties. By using the whole leaf, synergistic compounds required to make the flavonoids and terpenoids bioavailable are all maintained and available to you in each capsule.

Ginkgo Biloba is used to balance cognitive fatigue by improving focus and mental clarity. The antioxidant properties of Ginkgo help to neutralize free radicals and aid in the reduction of damage to vessels all over the body, including the brain. As an antioxidant, it has anti-aging properties and helps to protect the body from environmental pollutants. Ginkgo increases circulation, allowing the blood to flow freely, which enhances oxygen delivery to cells and removes waste. Ginkgo can also improve the communication pathways around brain and nerve cells, making it a commonly-used memory enhancer.

MEDICINAL INGREDIENT — EACH VEGETARIAN CAPSULE CONTAINS:
Ginkgo Biloba Leaves 50:1 Extract (Ginkgo biloba) 60 mg (Providing 3 g of dried ginkgo biloba leaves, standardized to contain 24% Ginkgo Flavone Glycosides and 6% Terpene Lactones).
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS:
Brown Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate (Non-GMO Vegetable Source), Hypromellose / Pullulan (Vegetarian Capsule).

RECOMMENDED DOSE — (ORAL) ADULTS ONLY:

Take one capsule three times per day.

DURATION OF USE: Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks.

CAUTIONS: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation (e.g. blood thinners, clotting factor replacements, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E) as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding

Q: Is there a long history of medicinal use of Ginkgo Biloba?

A: Yes! For thousands of years warriors and tribesmen have used Gingko for healing and medicine. Chinese herbal medicine uses both the leaf and the seed in its multi-millennial history. Ginkgo Biloba was also one of Organika’s first products, launched in 1990! Goes to show things don’t have to be new and trendy to be super effective!

Q: I’ve heard Ginkgo can be used for reducing headaches and migraines. Is this true?

A: Yes, as Ginkgo helps blood flow through the peripheries, it can decrease pressure in the head and decrease head pain. These properties can also be useful for erectile dysfunction and asthma.

Q: I’ve taken Gingko before, and it really helped improve my mood. How does this work?

A: Ginkgo is known for its ability to decrease stress, anxiety, and depression, and increase perceived well-being. Increasing blood flow and hormone movement through the body can positively affect mood. It also decreases inflammation, allowing one’s stress hormones to be put to other uses.

Q: Why can’t I take Ginkgo Biloba if I’m on blood thinners?

A: Ginkgo can also work to thin the blood as it moves it through the body more effectively. But if you are on blood thinner medication, doubling up could lead to overly thin blood and an inability to clot when cut or injured.

Q: I’ve seen Ginkgo in skin care products. Why is it included topically?

A: The antioxidants that are good for your insides are also great for your outsides. The leaf’s antioxidants can decrease signs of premature aging and increase hydration.
