Chromium is a mineral that is required by the body in small amounts. As it forms a part of a compound in the body known as Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF), chromium is essential for metabolic processes that regulate blood sugar, and helps insulin transport glucose into cells, where it can be used for energy. Chromium maintains stable blood sugar levels through proper insulin utilization and therefore helps maintain normal metabolism and proper weight.

As it enhances the action of insulin, chromium is necessary for storage of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. It is needed for energy production and is also vital in the synthesis of cholesterol, fats, and proteins. Inadequate intake of chromium has been linked to glucose intolerance.

Natural Factors Chromium GTF Chelate is a very easily absorbed form of chromium, naturally derived from yeast in the safe trivalent form. GTF chromium is naturally bound to glycine, glutamic acid, cysteine, and niacin. Each tablet contains 500 mcg of chromium, to be taken once daily, and is free from artificial colours, preservatives, sweeteners, soy, yeast, and wheat.

Contains no artificial colours, preservatives, or sweeteners; no dairy, sugar, wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, corn, egg, fish, shellfish, animal products, salt, tree nuts, or GMOs. Suitable for vegetarians/vegans.

Dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Recommended dose
