HerbalFactors St. John’s Wort is a full-spectrum extract used in herbal medicine to help promote healthy mood balance. St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) has a long history of medicinal use going as far back as the first century, when Ancient Greek physicians relied on its healing properties. St. John’s Wort is traditionally used in herbal medicine as a calmative to help relieve restlessness and nervousness. It is also used in herbal medicine to help relieve sleep disturbances associated with mood imbalance. Modern science now confirms that St. John’s Wort affects the nervous system and has identified hypericin and hyperforin as key active compounds involved in many of its benefits.

HerbalFactors St. John’s Wort is derived exclusively from the herb’s flowers, which contain more hyperforin than any other part of the plant. It is standardized to supply the full-spectrum of active compounds, and each 300 mg capsule provides 0.28% hypericin (840 mcg per capsule). It delivers a consistent and potent dose to help individuals suffering from nervousness and sadness, as well as those who need help sleeping. People with diagnosed clinical depression or taking antidepressant medication should only use St. John’s Wort under the supervision of a health care practitioner.
