Organic Popcorn - 1kg
Description: Popcorn is a type of corn that explodes from the kernel and puffs up when heated. It is considered a healthier snack option, since it is 100% unprocessed whole grain. Other than its high fibre contents, popcorn is also a good source of iron and B Vitamins.
Ingredients: Organic yellow popcorn kernels.
Directions: Brush a heavy saucepan with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Heat pan and add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels, then cover. Keep shaking the covered pan until all kernels have popped. Add desired ingredients to taste. It can also be made in a popcorn maker.
Uses: Popcorn is usually served salted or sweetened. The sweetened variety takes many forms, including caramel corn and popcorn balls, and is often mixed with candy, nuts and chocolate. For a savoury snack, mix with nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavour, or spice it up with chili or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
Storage: When stored in a cool (preferably less than 24˚C) and dry location (less than 65% humidity), shelf life is approximately 1 year.
